Névé Luxury Ice

Névé (pronounced ney-vey) is a revolutionary ice company that will transform the way the consumer views and enjoys ice. Ice has traditionally been used only to cool our drinks and cocktails, keep our food fresh and chilled, or as environmental decor – ice sculptures.

Névé transforms this basic item into a gourmet treat. I wish we could say that this application of gourmet ice is something new and never seen before. On the contrary, it harkens back to a day when ice was delivered fresh daily, when attention to detail was paid, not only to the quality of the water being used but also to the temperature at which it was frozen. It was a time when only the best in artisan products were applied to proper beverages.

Normal ice begins to melt the moment it is removed from the freezer and placed into liquid, immediately tarnishing the taste of your drinks and cocktails in two ways: if the ice being used is not made of the purest water, foul odors and flavors will instantaneously poison your drink, and if the ice melts too rapidly, your cocktail is destined to become a watered down shadow of its former self.

Névé offers a solution. They only use the purest water possible. They believe that the water one consumes should be of the highest quality and so should their ice. The cubes are frozen a minimum of 48 hours to ensure the slowest dilution rate achievable. The elegant cube designs fit perfectly into tall and short glasses. Their size and solidity lead to perfectly chilled, undiluted drinks or cocktails. Not only do their cubes melt slowly, they taste great and look beautiful. Again, attention to detail and quality are not new concepts – they’ve just been forgotten as of late. We prefer to remember and celebrate them. Do check out their Spheres taking the nod from the popular “ice sculpting of cubes” in Japan, the spheres look great in short and wide glasses. They can even be used for a more stunning effect in cocktail glass. Website
